Agriculture and Livestock Activities under the Livelihood Program in Bhasanchar, FDMN Camp

Since 2021, the Alliance for Cooperation and Legal Aid Bangladesh (ACLAB) has been implementing agriculture and livestock activities under its Livelihood Program in Bhasanchar, engaging Rohingya (FDMN) communities in sustainable livelihood opportunities.
As part of these interventions, ACLAB cultivates approximately 2 acres of agricultural land in Bhasanchar, promoting agricultural production and supporting access to fresh food. In addition, the organization facilitates livestock farming, including cattle, sheep, and duck rearing, with the active participation of Rohingya community members. Through these initiatives, approximately 500 families have benefited directly and indirectly from the program. The interventions aim to strengthen household income-generation opportunities, improve food security, enhance livelihood skills, and promote greater self-reliance among the displaced community.
ACLAB remains committed to supporting sustainable livelihood development in Bhasanchar by encouraging community participation, strengthening local capacities, and creating opportunities for more resilient and dignified living conditions for Rohingya families.
