Strengthening Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Cox’s Bazar
The Alliance for Cooperation and Legal Aid Bangladesh (ACLAB) continues to strengthen mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for vulnerable communities and frontline workers in Cox’s Bazar through capacity building, partnerships, and dedicated support services.
Agreement with SHUROKKHA Wellbeing Center
ACLAB has formalized an agreement with SHUROKKHA Wellbeing Center, Cox’s Bazar, to support a dedicated Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) space for humanitarian and frontline workers working with vulnerable and crisis-affected communities.
The initiative aims to provide a supportive environment where frontline workers can access psychosocial support and strengthen their well-being and resilience. By investing in the mental well-being of those serving vulnerable populations, ACLAB seeks to contribute to a healthier, more supportive humanitarian response environment in Cox’s Bazar.
Capacity Building on Community-Based MHPSS
On 24 August 2026, ACLAB successfully organized a capacity-building session titled “Community-Based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) for Rohingya Children, Adolescents and Families” at Hotel Beach Park, Cox’s Bazar.
The session focused on strengthening the knowledge and practical skills of frontline NGO staff to provide quality, inclusive, and community-based mental health and psychosocial support to Rohingya children, adolescents, and families.
The capacity-building initiative provided an opportunity for frontline professionals to enhance their understanding of MHPSS approaches and strengthen their ability to respond to the psychosocial needs of vulnerable community members.
