WASH sector initiative supported by Pooled Fund BRAC
Since 2021 ACLAB is providing WASH services in Bhasan Char among the Rohingya community by own contribution. Recently in 2023 ACLAB has awarded BRAC pooled fund WASH project at Bhasanchar supported by GAC (Global Affairs Canada).
Under the project there are different services i.e. WASH management, repair and maintenance, household waste collection and disposal, drain cleaning, ensure safe drinking water, provide waste bin, community education for hygiene, menstrual hygiene, hygiene kits distribution.
A total of 11 clusters, 1320 HH and 6600 community people will be covered under the initiative. An expert team of WASH management, volunteers, partner and FDMN community will engage in the project.
